Committee to the RFAR Charter in the Nuclear Sector: An Ambitious Roadmap for 2025

For the first time, the RFAR (Responsible Supplier Relations and Procurement) Charter Committee for the nuclear sector was held in the region, close to the Cattenom nuclear power plant. This landmark event, organised by the Business Ombudsman, Pierre Pelouzet, and Jo-Michel Dahan, brought together key players in the sector to build a shared and ambitious vision.

Structural Advances for the Sector

The committee produced a comprehensive and promising roadmap for 2025. Among the topics discussed:

  • Improved billing times, for enhanced supplier support.
  • Better coordination of inspections and audits, aimed at reducing redundancies and optimizing processes.
  • Promotion of networks of internal mediators, an essential lever to strengthen communication and resolve disputes internally.

These initiatives aim to strengthen competitiveness and harmony within the nuclear sector, in line with the commitments of the RFAR Charter.

A Field Visit at the Service of Competence

The participants also had the opportunity to visit a school construction site, a project carried out by GIM'est, the regional provider agency. This construction site is a key step for the development of skills and the improvement of know-how within the sector.

A Dynamic Towards Expanded Engagement

In view of the upcoming WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition), an expansion of the number of signatories to the RFAR charter is envisioned. This strengthened commitment testifies to the willingness of the industry to include as many players as possible in this responsible and structured approach.

With this ambitious roadmap and collaborative projects, the nuclear industry is demonstrating its determination to innovate and strengthen itself while respecting the principles of responsible and sustainable procurement.
